Où quand des élus font la part belle au RN

Une décision lourde de sens comme le soulignent à juste titre deux camarades historiens, membres de l’ANC.
L’unanimité n’est pas le moindre des problèmes comme le démontre Francis ARZALIER dans sa lettre qui suit celle de Robert MALCLES

Madame et Messieurs les députés du Gard signataires de la résolution de l’Assemblée nationale du 29 novembre 2016.

Monsieur le président,
Le comité Gard-Cévennes des Amies et Amis de la Commune de Paris-1871 tient à vous faire part de sa colère et de sa profonde émotion suite à votre décision de faire disparaitre le nom de Jules Vallès du paysage scolaire et urbain nîmois et gardois.
Prétextant la reconstruction et le léger déplacement du collège Jules Vallès, le Conseil départemental du Gard a décidé, à l’unanimité de ses membres, de modifier la dénomination de ce collège.
Il ne s’appellerait plus Jules Vallès mais Ada Lovelace.
Ada Lovelace, fille de Lord Byron, comtesse de Lovelace, fut une mathématicienne du 19ème siècle qui a travaillé sur le système binaire, base de l’informatique.
Cette préférence, très certainement inspirée par des voix « bien pensantes », vise à casser tout lien avec le quartier populaire du Mas de Mingue.
Ce choix d’une femme, mathématicienne, eut été parfaitement respectable s’il s’agissait d’un nouvel établissement et s’il n’entrainait pas l’abandon d’un autre nom chargé d’histoire et très significatif.
Jules Vallès, journaliste, écrivain, membre de la Commune de Paris-1871 fut de tous les combats pour l’égalité, la justice, la démocratie au 19ème siècle. Il est aussi l’auteur de plusieurs romans dont sa trilogie autobiographique « L’Enfant, Le Bachelier, L’Insurgé », dont l’étude, en particulier celle de « L’Enfant », est parfaitement adaptée à des élèves de collège.
Alors que l’ONU proclame les droits des enfants et nous invite à combattre tous les types de violence qu’ils peuvent subir, vous faites disparaitre le nom de celui qui, certainement le premier, et à partir de sa situation personnelle a dénoncé les brutalités subies par ces mêmes enfants, et décrit la dureté d’une éducation sans amour familial, et d’un enseignement sans compassion.
« A tous ceux qui crèvent d’ennui au collège, ou qu’on fit pleurer dans la famille, qui, pendant leur enfance furent tyrannisés par leurs maîtres ou rossés par leurs parents : je dédie ce livre ! » Jules Vallès.
Alors qu’un étudiant s’immole par le feu pour dénoncer la précarité, la misère que beaucoup d’étudiants subissent, vous faites disparaitre le nom de celui qui, dans son roman, « Le Bachelier » décrit les difficultés, les tourments, d’un étudiant pauvre, mais aussi ses combats politiques contre le pouvoir impérial.
Alors que l’Assemblée nationale française vient de voter le 29 novembre 2016 une résolution qui « proclame la réhabilitation des victimes de la répression de la Commune de Paris de 1871 » et « souhaite que la République rende honneur et dignité à ces femmes et ces hommes qui ont combattu pour la liberté au prix d’exécutions sommaires et de condamnations iniques », vous faites disparaitre toute référence à ce membre éminent de la Commune de Paris, qui échappa de peu au massacre et dut s’exiler 10 ans en Angleterre. Vous avez voté ainsi sa mort symbolique.
Ainsi au lieu de « rendre honneur et dignité » au travers de Jules Vallès, à ces combattantes et combattants de la liberté et de la justice vous essayez d’effacer la mémoire de leurs luttes.
A l’Assemblée nationale, en 2016, tous les députés du Gard, à l’exception de Monsieur Gilbert Collard votèrent ce texte. Monsieur Collard lui, protesta contre cette résolution avec une véhémence toute versaillaise. Nous ne doutons pas qu’aujourd’hui, lui et ses amis du Rassemblement national, se réjouissent de votre décision.
Dans ces conditions, nous vous demandons, Monsieur le Président, de revenir sur votre décision.
Veuillez agréer, Monsieur le président l’expression de notre haute considération.

Aux elus PCF du Conseil Départemental du Gard,

Chers camarades J’ai été informé par mon ex-collègue et camarade responsable des Amis de la Commune que le collège Jules Valles avait été débaptisé par un vote unanime de l’Assemblée Départementale du Gard.
Alors que le Parlement Européen, y compris les Elus français, Droite, PS et Verts confondus, vient de décider l’interdiction de tout" emblème ou nom rappelant le Communisme", ce vote gardois est fâcheux.
Tout au moins, à Bruxelles, Les élus communistes d’Europe n’ont pas suivi. Il eut été heureux que ceux du PCF à NIMES n’aient pas eu la faiblesse de se joindre a la meute réactionnaire.
C’est pour le moins une bévue, quelles qu’en soient les raisons.
